Breck has no photographer's backmark, but is Civil War era. The CDV of his son, Samuel Jr.
Has a San Francisco studio's imprint: Shew's New Photographic Establishment, and is identified & dated on verso in a contemporary hand: Sam'l Buck Jr. Old 4 ft 5 high.Some wear, small chip & few pin-holes in upper margin. Please see photographs to assess condition. These came out of an album of Civil War CDVs, and probably came from the Breck family.
