Cape having 9 small buttons, 3 groups of 3 button. The Army version is fully lined with heavy black cotton and is edge bound with black 1/2 mohair lace. The detachable cape closes is also lined with black cotton. It is fully lined with heavy black cotton. Progressive rows of intricately woven sleeve braid in black silk. 5 Rows of Sleeve Braids. Indicate the rank of the officer. There are two slash pockets just below the waistline. Black silk is the Regulation color for the sleeve braid.
