O'Sullivan in May 1864, shortly after it was captured by General Winfield Scott Hancock during the Battle of North Anna. Entitled "Chesterfield Bridge, on the North Anna; Chesterfield Bridge, North Anna, Virginia, " negative by O'Sullivan, positive by Alexander Gardner, published by Philp & Solomons in 1865 in Washington, DC, measures 9.375 by 7.25 inches, in very good condition with creasing to the corners, sunning to the bottom border, and damage to the bottom right corner, and nicely matted and framed to an overall size of 15 by 13 inches.
