The Confederate Army's surrender to General Grant is portrayed in this unique and eye-catching piece, making it a compelling addition to any home décor or historical enthusiast's collection. Made in the United States, this artwork reflects a significant event in American history and is sure to be a focal point in any room. This is an oil painting Reproduction Art By Peter Nowell.

My artistic journey began with oil landscapes and gradually evolved into Western art. After moving to Arizona, I began my transition into an Old West artist. Western films have inspired me in many directions, from cowboy scenes and cattle drives to Native people struggling to survive the changing frontier of the old west. This painting reflects a culture deeply connected to the mistrust of White Eye, even the Mountain Men at times.

Yet many survived in harmony with the Natives through trading skins for things they need for survival in the mountains. Printed on high-resolution artist canvas using the giclée process, this piece offers vivid color and fine detail. The premium 100% polyester canvas is stretched over a large pinewood frame, creating a crisp, gallery-style presentation. It has been a lifelong journey, and I hope you enjoy my work as much as I have enjoyed creating it. Painting Native subjects is an endless journey that I love.

There are so many stories still waiting to be told through art-like pages in a book with no ending.
