The First Maryland Campaign: An Address by the Brig. Johnson, Delivered February 22, 1886, at the Fourth Annual Reunion of the Association of the Maryland Line, at Oratorio Hall, Baltimore, MD. Johnson was a secessionist from a notable Frederick, Maryland family. Despite Maryland remaining in the Union, Johnson was a significant in promoting the Confederate cause. He was instrumental in raising the First Maryland Infantry, CSA at the outset of the war. I have been a private collector of Civil War, Western Americana and History books, art and ephemera for about 30 years. I have recently decided to reduce the size of my library.
