Memoirs of General Sherman GENERAL GREENE'S COPY Volume 2 1875. This is a very special copy of this scarce 1st edition. It belonged to and has the bookplate of George Sears Greene, and furthermore has affixed to the inside rear cover General Greene's Will fragment executed in 1899, which bequeaths this book, with several others of his treasured possessions to his nephew Albert Rowland Greene. It is a testament to the sentiment and esteem which General Greene had for General Sherman.

Please note that a map at the end of the volume is absent. An irreplaceable CIVIL WAR treasure. Also included with the volume is the original New York Herald review of the book dated 5/24/1875.
