1862 Civil War Brigadier General George Stoneman Autograph Signature Framed. For sale is a magnificent 1862 original Civil War Brigadier General George Stoneman autographed document. It's dated November 13, 1862 and is a commissary Chit for General Stoneman's headquarters for 3 pounds of sugar in the field of operations.
It's beautifully framed with a picture of the general and a typed bio of the general. General Stoneman later became the Governor of California in 1882. It's double matted in a gorgeous frame but is missing the front glass. The frame measures 25 1/2" wide x 21 1/2" tall.
All three documents/photo have plastic protection over them under the matte. It would be significantly cheaper if you wanted it without the frame. Please LMK if so desired. The autographed document has excellent bold writing, has expected fold lines, and presents extremely well. The frame is in excellent condition with light wear but is missing the glass front. The matte is excellent but has some ripples likely caused by not having the front glass in place.About Home of Vintage Treasures. Your item comes from a smoke-free home.
