He was a Civil War soldier who took place in many battles, including Gettysburg. He was brevetted Brigadier General, US Volunteers on March 13, 1865 for Gallant conduct at the battle of Bethesda Church, Virginia. The signature is on a a document from 1869, a Surveyor General's Office letterhead from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania showing that a tract of land in Salt Sick township has been paid for by Andrew Keslar. Document has impressed seal and is also signed at bottom by Robert A McCoy. The document is in very good condition.
