These were made in 1962 to commemorate the War between The States. These sets have a historical significance because they were made to sell a few months before time of the 100 year anniversary of the end of slavery the "Emancipation Proclamation". Other fake sets are currently available just because these ORIGINAL HO Tyco Sets were so appealing.

Those currently available sets have absolutely no historical value, because they were not made during the Centennial. When I got my first guitar I put these and many other train sets in my room closet.

They stayed there until I married and began to move from place to place, so the boxes have taken the wear. Now I run an extensive Tyco collection only at Christmas.
