SIGNED by the author on front pastedown. Conner's signature is scarce to find on the market. I'm not aware of any other signed copies of his pre-war legal work in existence. James Conner (September 1, 1829 - June 26, 1883), was a Confederate States Army. During the American Civil War. He was a lawyer in South Carolina.
