This is a hand-written, hand-signed personal letter from Confederate General Fitzhugh Lee to Confederate General Jubal A. In the letter, Lee invites Early to his wedding, which took place on April 19th, 1871.

He jokes with Early in numerous occasions and even refers to having horses killed, which happened three times to Lee during the battles at Shenandoah Valley. The letter is in overall good condition. There are a two holes in the paper on the left front side. There is a tiny piece of clear tape that was put in the upper left front corner.
