An original CDV of General William S. He was a West Point Graduate (1842), an American inventor, coal-oil company executive, diplomat, politician and U. He gained fame for his role as a Union General in the American Civil War. He was the victor at prominent Western Theater battles, but his military career was effectively ended following his disastrous defeat at the Battle of Chickamauga in 1863. We are full time autograph and document dealers registered with the UACC (#036), and members of the Manuscript Society.
