Charles Griffin [1825 1867] was a senior American Army officer, who served with distinction during the American Civil War. Griffin began his military career in 1847 and was a veteran of the Mexican- American and American Indian Wars. General Griffin rose to command a corps in the Army of the Potomac and fought in many of the key campaigns in the Eastern Theatre. Including the Battle of Antietam, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Overland Campaign, Five Forks, Appomattox Campaign.
