General Christopher Columbus Andrews was a Minnesota Pioneer newspaper Editor at St Cloud, Minnesota Territory, but enlisted as a private, 3rd Minnesota Infantry, was commissioned captain, captured at Murfreesboro, Tennessee in 1862, paroled as a POW and served in the 1862 Dakota Indian War. In 1863 he was sent to Vicksburg, promoted to Colonel, then Brigadier General for his service with the Camden, Arkansas Expedition, commanding a Division of the 13th Army Corp, taking part in the storming and capture of Fort Blakeley, Mobile, Alabama, 1865. An Original Civil War Requisition issued at HQ 2nd Division 13th AC, for June 1865, for stationary items- letter and blotting paper, inks, steel pens, pencils, etc, expended, signed by AAG C. (Charles Augustus) Garcelon, and signed Approved Bvt Major General C.

The General and his command were at Mobile, Alabama at this time. The1p 8 x 11 Requisition on lined paper is water stained but legible and fragile, in Overall Fair Condition.
