The 13th New York Infantry known as The Rochester Regiment served the entire War, taking it's heaviest casualties at First Manassas July, 1861. An Original Civil War Officer Commission issued by the State of New York to Michael McMullen appointing him 1st Lieutenant of the 13th NY. The Commission bears a handsome illus of the New York State Seal and an applied red State Seal, and is ink signed by Governor Edwin D Morgan, (who also served as Major General during the War) and by Adjutant General Duncan Campbell. The 1 page 14 x 13" Commission has age darkened edges from an old frame, archival repairs on the reverse folds, edge wear, a repaired 1" hole, and is fragile.
