This is an original cdv of Brevet Brigadier General Robert Corson Cox. The cdv is in very good condition, has a backmark and even a stamp on it as well. He is in a nice pose holding a sheathed sword at the base. This would make a good addition to any Civil War collection.
Civil War Union Brevet Brigadier General. He served during the Civil War first as Major of the 171st Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, then as Colonel and commander of the 207th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. He was brevetted Brigadier General, US Volunteers on April 2, 1865 for gallant and meritorious services at Forts Stedman and Sedgwick, Va. This came from the collection of Edgar Ewing a retired teacher from Oley Valley School District in Oley, PA that recently passed. He had a huge civil war collection and this was a piece from that collection.
