1 carte de visite of Major General Oliver Otis Howard. Oliver Otis Howard served a long career in the US military. He was not promoted to Major General until the 1880s.

Brigadier General Howard lost an arm in the Battle of Fair Oaks. Oliver Howard was also known as the "Christian General" because he was so pious. Later in his career he led troops in the Indian Wars. Condition: The General's name and additional notes written on the back of the card. Some wear to the bottom left corner of the card. Slight wear to the upper right corner of the card.
