Antique Brass Bronze Relief Sculpture Civil War General McClellan Period Frame

  
Up for sale is this Antique Brass or Bronze Relief Sculpture of Civil War General McClellan in a Period Frame. Looks more like brass than bronze under the finish to me, but that's always tough to distinguish. My research shows the original was sculpted by John Quincy Adams Ward after a painting by F O C Darley and it was intended as a campaign piece from his failed run against Lincoln in 1864. Some of the others I saw were signed, this one is not. The frame measures about 23 1/4" x 21 1/2". The frame shows considerable wear and loss of its gesso, corners are all chipped and along the edges too. Plaque measures about 10 1/4" tall & 9 1/2" across.
