CSA General Patrick Ronayne Cleburne: "Stonewall of the West" - Killed in Action at the Battle of Franklin, Tennessee. Born in Ireland in 1828, Cleburne planned the capture of the U. Arsenal in Little Rock, Arkansas, and participated in several major battles during the Civil War: Colonel of the 15th Arkansas, led a brigade at Shiloh, fought at Murfreesboro, Chattanooga Campaign, a savage fighter similar to Forrest. He was killed at the Battle of Franklin on November 30, 1864. His signature from a document, signed with his new rank early in his command.

3 1/8 x 5 1/2. Expected agewear, acceptable condition overall. One of the rarest of all Confederate signatures.
