RARE Large Original 1864 Civil War General George McClellan Campaign Poster

  

Here is a very nice old and 100% original campaign poster from the Civil War era, dating from the election of 1864 and promoting the Union Army leader, "Little Mac", who was to be defeated by Abraham Lincoln that year. 21" by 18 & 1/2", it has seen some water staining, mostly noticeable at the back, and some areas along both upper edges have minor paper loss and splits. That being said, this is an important item from a major American election, during the nation's biggest internal conflict, and the paper is somewhat brittle, as you might expect. I have not cleaned or altered its appearance in any manner, and the first picture has been "enhanced" for clarity.
