General Sherman medal, circa 1863-1864, Civil War

  

A Civil War medal for General William T. Sherman, showing his military bust 3/4 left. Many of Sherman's troops wore this medal during the war. 30mm, holed at the top, very good condition with some obverse spots and stains.

This medal uses the same reverse as 3 of the 1864 presidential campaign medals. They are: Fremont JF 1864- 4, Lincoln AL 1864- 11, and McCellan GMcC 1864- 18.
