Cape having 9 small buttons, 3 groups of 3 button. The Army version is fully lined with heavy black cotton and is edge bound with black 1/2 mohair lace. The detachable cape closes is also lined with black cotton. It is fully lined with heavy black cotton.

Progressive rows of intricately woven sleeve braid in black silk. Indicate the rank of the officer. There are two slash pockets just below the waistline. Black silk is the Regulation color for the sleeve braid.
