20 signed by Assistant Adjutant General of the US, Brigadier General of the Union Army United States of America, Absalom Baird. He won fame for his heroic efforts at the Battle of Chickamauga and the Chattanooga Campaign and was awarded the Medal of Honor. Measuring about 7 1/8 X 4 7/8 inches it, discusses adding quartermasters and assistant quartermasters to the general staff of the arm as well as surgeons and assistant surgeons to the medical department of the army.
