General Abram A Harbach of Burlington, Iowa served w his Father in the 1st Iowa Volunteers in 1861, then the 11th US Infantry, was WIA Gettysburg, and rose to Brigadier General in the Regular Army postwar, fighting the Sioux & commanded units at Leech Lake, Minnesota 1898 in the Chippewa Uprising. An original Pennsylvania Infantry Volunteers Discharge issued to Lt Alexander C Montgomery, F Company, 193rd Volunteers at Pittsburgh, Pa Nov 9, 1864, for 100 days (emergency service), signed by Lt AA Harbach, 11th US Infantry.
