Offered here is a rare and authentic autograph cut of General William Tecumseh Sherman, dated 1889, featuring his bold signature on a clean 1.5" x 3" card. Sherman" boldly signed in ink, with the salutation "Truly yours above. Date: Dated in Sherman's hand - 1889, just two years before his death.

Medium: Mounted cut on card stock, measuring approximately 1.5 inches x 3 inches. Condition: Excellent ink contrast; some age toning and light paper tape residue on reverse from prior mounting (see photos). William Tecumseh Sherman was a Union general and a pivotal figure in the outcome of the American Civil War.

His most famous military campaign-the March to the Sea-cut a devastating path through Georgia in 1864, aiming to cripple the Confederacy's infrastructure and morale.
