Offered here for your consideration is a unique piece of American history: An autograph on paper by Civil War Confederate Major General Mathew C. I presume this autograph was obtained while he was a Senator (South Carolina) as many of the autographs associated with the collection are of fellow members of the Congress and the Cabinet. Major General Butler commanded Cavalry and fought at Wade Hampton, Bull Run, Antietam and Fredericksburg NOTEanother autograph I have for sale is that of Colonel Matthew Stanley "Matt" Quay, Medal of Honor Recipient/Union Colonel, Commanding Officer of the 134th Pennsylvania Infantry for his actions at Fredericksburg, was commended later by Senator Butler (they were both Senators at the time) for his "Daring and Brilliant Maneuvering", a flanking action against Tennessee Infantry. He was also a U.
(P lease see all pictures and condition description). NOTE: The glare in the photographs is due to the plastic sleeves the paper is in as I do not want to remove the sheet from the sleeves.
