Affiant states he and Parker were neighbors in April 1865 and remained so until April 1867. Parker was suffering from "Ague, Chronic Diarrhea & Rheumatism, " claimed contracted in service; symptoms described include cold hands, chills followed by night sweats; cramp and distress in the stomach; lameness; stiffness in hands, back and shoulders.
